Learning Objectives

To become familiar with relevant ENT anatomy
To become comfortable with common ENT problems seen everyday in the GP surgery
Be able to diagnose common ENT pathology of the ear, nose and throat
Familiarise yourself, through practical sessions, with examination of the ear, nose and throat
To understand when to refer patients for ENT review
To be familiar with ENT emergencies and their treatments
To recognise ‘red flag’ signs and symptoms and common misses

Target Audience

GPVTS trainees
F1 and F2 grades of all specialities (esp those with upcoming ENT post)
CT1 ad CT2 grades of all specialities (esp those with upcoming ENT post)
ENPs from Emergency Department
All nurses wanting to know more about ENT
